The Best Wild Hibiscus Flower Simple Syrup

This is seriously the best simple syrup around and very easy to make.

It not only brings amazing flavour profiles of tart rhubarb and raspberry to make an exceptional G + T it is also key in creating our very own signature Pink Pussycat cocktail.

This hibiscus syrup will also turn any gin you have a stunning pink colour for those who love a pink G + T of better yet a Pink Gin Mojito.

All you have to do is to add a flower or two along with a tea spoon of the slightly sweetened syrup to any drink for an occasional treat.

This also works well in champagne of prosecco and my all time favourite is to drizzle the syrup over really good home made vanilla ice cream.

You will need…

A small sauce pan

  • 2 cups dried wild hibiscus flowers

  • 2 cups caster sugar

  • 2 cups water

  • 100ml Boutique Distillery fine Dry Cotswold Gin

  • 3/4 tea spoon citric acid

  • Wooden stirring spoon
